User Interface

Learn how to use the various pages (Apps, Devices, Settings, Logs, etc.) in the Hubitat web interface

The Hubitat Elevation hub administration interface can be accessed using any browser on your local network. Mobile apps for both iOS and Android are available that can be used to control devices on your hub, but setup and administration of your hub is done using a web-based interface (hosted locally from your hub – no Internet access required). An embedded browser is available on the mobile app, but for best experience we recommend using an external browser.

If you are wondering how to use a certain page in this web-based administrative interface, find it here for more information.

TIP: Help for any page or app can also be accessed from the "?" icon in the top right of the hub interface.

Accessing the Interface

To access the administrative interface for your hub, navigate to its IP address in any web browser. If you need help finding this, try one of the following:

  • Try navigating to https://hubitat.local instead (this is the default network name for your hub and should work on devices/networks that support mDNS; it can be changed in Settings).
  • Use https://findmyhub.hubitat.com to discover your hub on your network
  • Log in to https://my.hubitat.com and use the Registered Hubs feature to see hubs registered to that account, along with their IP address and other information

Items in the Main Menu, Developer, and Logs sections below correspond to items you'll find on the left-side menu of the administrative interface. On larger screens, this menu is shown by default. On smaller screens, the three-lines/menu icon can be used to hide or show the menu.

For Developers

For developers (who write code) or advanced users (who want to add custom code from others to their hub), these options will be displayed only if Enable advanced/developer options is enabled in Settings.

Other
